About Me

Hello all! Welcome to my blog! My name is Ashlee Bagnell and I just received my BA in English from the Kennesaw State University.

I have always had a passion for literature and the arts. I have been reading like crazy since I was little. I have authored several short stories, plays, and I have a novel in the works. My completed works include Plymouth’s Last Witch, Grimmly, The Fate’s War, and The Troll’s Apprentice. I also have a poetry collection titled “The Death and Ressurection of Valentine de Villefort.” I am pursuing a career in publishing and digital content creation.

My academic career has been enriching. I started at Georgia Highlands College in the Fall of 2012. I came close to attaining my associates in Communications in 2014 when I decided to take a break and reassess. I returned to school in the Fall of 2015 with a new school and a new major. I began at KSU with my eyes now set on an English degree so that I could spend my life working with what I loved: books. It just made sense. I have studied everything from World Literature to Digital Grammar. I have been employing the use of rhetoric since I was taking an AP literature class in High School. I feel as though rhetoric is a big scary idea that can be simplified and utilized by anyone to bring their ethos to a whole new level. I am excited to learn and hone my rhetorical knowledge this semester and share my findings with you.

In my spare time, I am an avid Netflix binger, reader, and I love to watch movies. I have also been acting for 13 years with ACT 1 inc. I am also their Social Media Director! My favorite things on this planet are Lord of the Rings, my two dogs (Charlie Brown and Milo), and Cupcake Reisling. I live with my family in Euharlee, Georgia.
